I want to keep the highest integrity and honesty in posting my words to the world. This blog act as a testimony to my alacrity of sharing information with the borderless world. My conscience statement

23 February 2008 - I would like to apologize to all Malaysian that I couldn't do much to help you all out of the current economic turmoil. Trust me, I had done everything I can in my capacity as a micro-economic policy maker to help you all out of this hard time but I guess smart people doesn’t have a place in the government apparatus mechanism. I know things will be very difficult and maybe even ugly for many people for this upcoming three months, but do trust me, my heart will always be with those that are facing and about to face this difficult moment.

I promise you all that even though I would be out of the government micro-economic apparatus, I will always be an adviser to the decision maker at the helm of our state in any way. God bless you all and God bless Malaysia.

Economic blackout

20 February 2008 - A lot of observers send me an email asking me to write more on the current economic turmoil - better be in Malay language. I do appreciate the comments that I received through past article on the crisis and I shall try to write more often on the subject matter in the future. Some even asked my blunt assessment on the future economic agenda. I would say it is not very promising. There might be a day where the lights will turn off suddenly and we would be motionless especially for the developing nations like Malaysia. One of the signals was the rampant mass demonstration pertaining to simple issues. People are trying to deviate their fears unto something else. It would be folly if we do not sense this.

16 February 2009 - I would like to convey my condolences to Datuk Siti Nurhaliza for the lost of her father yesterday. I still remember meeting Siti while I was working at Yayasan four years ago. She was very humble and very warm towards me. You can say what you want about her, but she is one of the living legend Malaysia currently has and I personally felt sorry for her lost yesterday.

It's been quite a while since I posted anything. I was very pre-occupied with work and indeed was having a hard time at my workplace (with my superior). Now I know that in government service, you cannot be too smart or intelligence because office politics was badly insulated. Not to mention racism and favoritism among the selected few. It was indeed a nightmare. As for me, this service is only a stepping stone for my greater role for nation building. God, I miss working for Tun Mahathir.

The Clash of Civilizations

6 February 2009 - I've finished reading Samuel Huntington book on the Clash of Civilizations. It was a very academic book indeed which discuss on the importance of understanding a culture upon any injection of a new policy/ thinking either it be liberalism, moralism, human rights or even market economies even though market economies currently are accepted by all culture except the hardliners - Maoist, Wahabbism.

According to Huntington thesis, there is no way for the world to be universal. This thesis would be a testament either the American dreams is valid or merely rhetoric upon waiting for it to be Westernized again (and to do so it would extricate the Anglo-Saxons race to be their mutual allies). All the world hopes of liberalism, annihilating racism are left on how the Americans view their world, starting perhaps with the influx of the Latinos from the South.
